THIS ARTICLE IS OLD AND PROBABLY NOT USEFUL IN Windows Vista UPWARDS.

If you are running windows XP or below using the TCP Optimiser will make sure your computer can get the best speeds from your BE connection.

Some people find when they are first connected to BE that although they have a good sync rate, their downloads are a lot slower. This is often caused by incorrect MTU & Rwin settings.

If you click on the first link below it will give information about MTU. From the second link you can download the tool to set these.

Then click on MTU settings.

MTU settings on BE are 1500

Another freeware program some members have found useful for solving slow downloads etc. is the XT TCPIP/Repair
