Member Center options for non Value customers

You can change your own line profile by signing in to the Be* member area and looking to the right hand panel.

You are limited to 6 changes per month.. any further changes need to be done via the manual ticket process outlined below.

• Optimise for speed - 3db
• Standard setting - 6db
• Optimise for reliability - 9db

• Gaming mode switches fastpath on and off.

Your connection will drop the moment you click the update button. Do not close the BE website, leave it open and wait for the line to come back up. Once reconnected be sure to select "Confirm Changes". If you are unable to confirm your new profile (it constantly asks you to confirm even though you click the button) then use the workaround listed on this page

Manual Tickets

You have an option of what dB profile (Line Profile) you can have on your line - this comprises of a range of numbers from 3 to 15, incrementing in 3s.

• 3db
• 6db
• 9db
• 12db
• 15db

You can also have interleaved (default), fastpath (or Annex-M/Upload+ if you are a Be Pro package user).

The lower your dB profile, the higher your connectivity speed, however, this comes at a sacrifice of reliability. Reliability is linked to the length of your line, the attenuation on it and intermittent problems or electrical interference that may enter the line on its path from your premises to the exchange.

It is possible for you to choose any dB profile, regardless if your line is enable for interleaved or fastpath, or if it uses a different modulation. You must ring up Be* support, pop into IRC during office hours or submit a ticket online in order to have it changed.
